Pope John Paul II wrote a book called “Be Not Afraid” words of Faith, Hope and Love. However, the Vietnamese Youth Convention was to target our Faith with God. To be not afraid and name, Proclaim and Claim their Faith, Self, and Life in the local and global community. It is characterized by the happiness of youth being with Christ and with each other. VYC III, for short, was taken place at Cal State University of Long Beach on July 3-5, 2009. After attending VYCI many years ago, I did not expect much when I signed up for VYCIII besides attending educational sessions. I was in for a big surprise. As an older participant, I come to observe and also to learn as one cannot be too old to learn. The hallmark of VYC I've come to known is getting all the youths together and giving them a voice, as they will become our future leaders. Through VYC, we learn how great that voice is! More ...
